Official User Guide

This comprehensive guide is designed for both Players and Sports Officers who interact with the TEVISA Web System. Whether you are registering for the first time, managing a team, or preparing for tournament day, this document provides step‑by‑step instructions and detailed explanations.

We recommend that all users read the sections relevant to their role carefully. The guide is updated regularly; future versions will include screenshots and video tutorials.

Our goal is to eliminate guesswork. The TEVISA platform handles eligibility, team management, fixture generation, and venue screening through QR codes.

For Players

Eligibility Requirements

Before you begin your registration, please ensure you meet every one of the following criteria. These are enforced by TEVISA and your institution.

  • Affiliated institution: Your college must be an official TEVISA member.
  • Active student status: You must be currently enrolled.
  • Valid Student ID and NRC: Details must exactly match registration input.
  • Age limits: As required by TEVISA.
If you meet all conditions, proceed to account registration. Do not use fake or borrowed documents.

Account Registration

Follow these instructions precisely to create your player account. You will need your student ID, and personal email.

  1. Open the registration page: Go to tevisasports.com and click Player Login. Below the login form, click “Register”.
  2. Fill in personal details: Enter your full legal name as it appears on your NRC.
  3. Enter your student information: Type your Student ID exactly as shown on your ID card. Then select your institution from the dropdown.
  4. Select your primary sport: Choose the sport you are strongest in. This does not prevent you from playing other sports.
  5. Create a secure password: Minimum 8 characters with uppercase, number, and symbol (e.g. @, #).
  6. Submit: Click “Register”.
Registration is a one‑time action. After verification, you can log in with your email and password. Keep your credentials safe.
If you encounter errors, first double‑check that your Student ID is typed correctly. Do not create duplicate accounts.

Profile & Dashboard

Once logged in for the first time, you must complete your profile before being assigned to a team.

  • Complete your profile: Click “Edit Profile” and upload a recent, high‑quality portrait photo (passport style). This photo will appear on your record across the system.
  • Dashboard overview: After completion, you can see team assignments, participation history, match fixtures, and your QR code (once assigned to a team).
Make it a habit to check your dashboard at least once a week, especially during tournament season.

QR Code & Screening

Your QR code is the key to entering competition venues. It becomes available only after a Sports Officer assigns you to a team.

How to use your QR code on match day:

  1. Log in to your TEVISA account on your mobile phone.
  2. Navigate to your dashboard and “Show QR Code”.
  3. Proceed to the venue entrance; a Screening Officer will scan the code with the TEVISA app.
  4. The app instantly confirms eligibility.
Security warning: Never alter, share, or use someone else’s QR code. Violations lead to immediate bans and fines.
If your QR code does not scan, the officer can look you up by ID.

For Sports Officers

Institution Setup & Registration

  • Your institution must have paid the TEVISA affiliation fee.
  • After approval, TEVISA creates a custom institutional email. Only this email can be used.

Step‑by‑step registration for Sports Officer:

  1. Visit tevisasports.com and click “Institution Login” then “Register”.
  2. Enter the custom institutional email, your institution name, abbreviation.
  3. Create a strong password (numbers, symbols, and letters, minimum 8 characters).
  4. Submit.
Keep your institutional email and password secure – it is the only way to access the institutional portal.

Tournament Access & Dashboard

During active tournaments, your dashboard shows cards for teams and navigation to players, and payments. If no tournament is active, a banner appears: “No active tournament at this time.”

You cannot manage your players and create draft teams when no tournament is active.
If a tournament is active for others but not for you, verify affiliation fees and contact support immediately.

  1. Create a team: Click “+ New Team”. Select sport and give a unique name (e.g., “University Eagles – Basketball”).
  2. Assign players: Click a player → “assign team”select team”, confirm.
  3. QR generation: QR codes are generated automatically upon assignment.
Double‑check that all players have correct photos. And are assigned to correct sports.

Fixtures – automatic generation

Fixtures are generated automatically by the system administrator based on registered teams and bracket structure. Prerequisite: teams must meet minimum player requirements.

If a team falls below minimum after the deadline, it will be marked ineligible and removed from fixtures.
